Here is what we know:
You are sitting on opportunities that you are overlooking and that could make a huge difference in your results for the balance of the year.
There are no magic bullets – you need to develop multiple lead sources to insure a steady lead flow.
Here are some of the things you can do to generate business:
Call all past referral sources and thank them. Ask if there is anything you can do for them. Mention that despite the economy you are busy but you would welcome the opportunity to insure that your crews stay fully employed so you are looking to book work 4 to 6 weeks out.
Join a networking organization like BNI – and work it. We have clients that have generated $50,000, $100,000 or more in business in the past year.
Real estate is picking up in many areas – a real estate agent I know just sold a house that was on the market for only 6 days and she got multiple offers. The sale was in your average American town here in NJ. Full time real estate agents can be a nice source of referrals.
There are many, many more ways to generate business.
Action Item: Brainstorm on where you could generate business not just now but for the balance of the year.
