What offers can you use in your outbound marketing to get your prospects to take the next step in the buying process?
The issue with most “now buyer” type offers is that they are typically presented like this:
$100 off!
$300 off your project of more than $2,000
These can be effective but many buyers are a big skeptical. They are thinking “Is this a real savings?”
They are skeptical because of other “sales” they have experienced that might not have been all that they were cracked up to be.
Maybe you have had that experience.
What can you do to provide real value?
If you are in a service business, offer a product with real value.
If you do this right you can turn it into an endorsement for one of your referral partners and that will likely motivate them to endorse you.
I encourage you to think how you can apply this to your business.
If you install decks there are many things that you can offer that have real tangible value.
How about a home entertainment package?
- A gift certificate to a Grill store or a patio or deck furniture store or a package of furniture at a special price or July 4th cookout coupon
How about a gardener’s package?
- A planter or 5 bushes for the price of 3 to landscape around the deck or next year’s deck cleaning
All you need is a little imagination. The deck cleaning is important because it puts you in front of your customer again so you can offer other services or ask for referrals.
When you provide an offer with tangible value – your prospect knows they are getting a real value.
One important aspect of this type of offer is this….you can often obtain the offer for less than the actual value especially if you are promoting a referral partner’s business. The patio or deck furniture store may be willing to give you a special discount on a package since they don’t have to do any work to make the sale.
In this case you can include the offer – “special offer for ABC Decks customers from XYZ furniture – normally priced at $XXX – only $YYY for our customers only until June 30.”
I think you get the idea. Get creative and your lead generation success is bound to go up.
